Youth Park (Romanian: Parcul Tinerutului) in southern Bucharest; it was constructed with the help of the young communist association in 1965 and it was designed as the main recreational space for working class.
Aside from green areas, the park contains a number of playgrounds as well as a navigable lake, utilised by leisure boats in summer, bars, terraces and cafes . The Tineretului Park is a good place for walking, jogging , skateboarding, biking or relaxing. The south-east corner of the park is a children’s area called Children’s Mini-Town which for us is an unfortunate design disaster or monster childhood nightmare.
