GALATECA is a gallery of applied arts. A developing project, an evolving project, whose roots are already anchored in the tradition of its hosting space, “Carol I” Central University Library. It began with the printed word and will get to the latest forms of communication in art & crafts. It set out to jazz up and enliven the ideal space situated in the most beautiful square in Bucharest, while experimenting in a continually and multidisciplinary way.

At Galateca we will be talking about Romanian artists and designers, about art in all its forms and about product design. We have much to tell. For now we welcome you to the gallery.
