WASP - Working Art Space & Production
WASP is an alternative private house for contemporary dance, visual art experiments, underground contemporary theatre makers, and the multimedia addicted. A 500 sqm contemporary art space, in a former communist factory, is now a centre for contemporary art production and working space.
WASP means:
- black box studio of 180 sqm (11m X 11m performing area and 120 seats),
- white box studio of 100 sqm (8m X 8m performing area and 45 seats),
- art exhibition space of 35 sqm
- offices
WASP is also the venue of eXplore dance festival - Bucharest International Contemporary Dance and Performance, and it hosts the offices of 4Culture Association.
WASP aims to support the production and promotion of contemporary performing arts through residencies, workshops, debates and presentations. WASP is also open for collaborations in the field of visual art, film, music and multi-media.
