Love/Hate Bucharest:

Love:

Besides being home, it is a trilogy of neo classical, communist and modern architecture, which makes it wonderful to explore.

Hate:

Unfortunately, the city is still socially and economically in transition, sometimes leaving room to civic faults, coruption and misery.

Travel tips from Rucsandra:

FOOD:

I like traditional food at La mama Restaurant, coffee and pastry at Paul bistro and beer at Hanul cu Tei

DAY:

During daytime, I enjoy a walk in Cismigiu Park and a cappucino at Café Verona.

NIGHT:

At night, I generally prefer the pubs in Old Town area, live music at Tribute Club and dancing / clubbing in Gaia or Bordello's.

SHOPPING:

I like  commercial centres with electronic products such as Media Galaxy, shopping for cosmetics at Sephora and going through clothes and accessories at vintage fairs.

CULTURE:

I like classical Art Museums in general, such as The Contemporary Art Museum, but also unconventional galleries, namely Occidentului Gallery and Alchemia.

DISCOVERY:

One of the most beautiful places I discovered in Bucharest is Gradina Icoanei Park and the surrounding area including Anglican Church and Maternity Fountain.
