freelance photographer ,employee of an international company

I love photography, hiking, climbing and rock and roll.

Love/Hate Bucharest:

I love the climate - winter could be a bit warmer and summer a bit colder but still it’s better than in my home city Katowice, Poland. When I think about the perfect day in Bucharest I think either about a cold, snowy winter day or about a very warm summer day.

I love that everyone (almost) speaks English better than I do (which makes me too lazy to learn Romanian).  The locals are very kind old people and very well educated young people, speaking many languages fluently :)

I don’t like that the drivers (especially taxi drivers) are driving too fast, not safe and too nervous, of course without seat belts!

Travel tips from Aga:

FOOD: Dineș - probably the best kebab in Bucharest!

Every time my mother comes to visit me in Bucharest I take her to Caru cu bere.

DAY: I am not so much into spending time in cafes and pubs, if I have free time I just walk around the city or I go to climbing gym with my boyfriend.  I strongly recommend climbing gyms in Bucharest; there is a large selection and some are very good!

NIGHT: My evening destination -> concerts which take place most of the time at Romexpo, Arenele Romane, Silver Church Club. I also do recommend all possible concerts in Bucharest. There is really a lot going on. This summer Iron Maiden and Anthrax will play. Motley Crue, Motorhead, Guns’n’Roses have played last summer in Bucharest!

Photo equipment - and

Clothes - Zara, Pull&Bear, StradivariusH&M and online shopping, more and more stores are shipping to Romania (asos,, ebay...

CULTURE: festivals in Bucharest during summer - OST fest which will not take place this year, and all possible rock and metal concerts, last year was first time that World Press Photo exhibition came to Bucharest; Antipa Museum (after renovation it is a very nice place to go), Village Museum

BUCHAREST DISCOVERY: Old Town - it’s changing every week, each time I go there are new places, new buildings renovated, some are gone...

All possible styles in architecture in one city... just go 10 meters from the main street and the world will change, old villas covered by blocks etc.
