The MAIDEN ENGLAND tour marks the third chapter of Iron Maiden history, a journey that started in 2004 with the “The Early Days” followed by the tour “Early Days”, in 2005. The second chapter started in 2008, with the DVD “Live After Death” and the new tour of the band which has torn down the frontiers “Somewhere Back In Time World Tour 2008/9”, a tour where they played in front of over 2 million fans from almost 40 countries, flying between continents with their personalized aircraft Boeing 757, named “Ed Force One”, piloted by the band’s vocalist Bruce Dickinson, plane covered entirely with the image of the DVD “Flight 666”.
The current show MAIDEN ENGLAND will reproduce the stage show from their 1988 tour “Seventh Son” where the band will perform several songs from the legendary tour, as well as from the video VHS concert from 1989, entitled “Maiden England”, which gives the name of the current tour, launched on DVD on 23rd of March 2013.
Bruce Dickinson says: “We are excited to bring this event to our fans in Romania. Thanks to modern technology, we were able to update and improve the original production from 1988 for ‘Maiden England’. MAIDEN ENGLAND brings us an impressive and new light show, stage arrangement, various embodiments of Eddie, lots of pyrotechnics and all sorts of exciting elements.”
Steve Harris continues: “We know how popular the History of Maiden Tours is with fans of all ages and we will be bringing with us the full production we had on tour in North America earlier this year. We’ve also had a huge amount of fun with the set list as we got to play songs we’ve not played in a very long time like Seventh Son, The Prisoner and Afraid To Shoot Strangers, as well as fan favourites like The Trooper, Aces High, The Clairvoyant, The Number Of The Beast, Wasted Years and Run To The Hills. The opening leg of the tour was so enjoyable for the whole band, we’re really looking forward to taking this whole show to our fans around Europe”
Widely considered one of the most important and influential rock acts of all time, IRON MAIDEN have sold almost 90 million albums worldwide, played over 2000 live performances across 58 countries around the globe, and released 15 studio albums including the most recent, The Final Frontier, their biggest ever album chart success attaining No.1 positions in over 28 countries.
